Hey Doc.
You're right. I've been running outside and listening to podcasts and barely doing any other exercises at all, so I had not much to report. Happily last night I managed to do 100 pushups (three varieties) and 125 ab crunches (four). Tomorrow night, if I don't make it to HIIT, I will include squat jumps and tricep dips and upright rows in the 100s.
I can tell you that the runs get better each night and that the podcasts have included: a novel called Lost Gods by Drew Beatty, whose voice reminded me of my Canadian brother's; an audiobook called The Brain Mechanic; Slate's Culture Gabfest and then Lexicon Valley (there were only three episodes, but I liked it); some recent TEDTalks; Ask the Low Carb Experts; Brain Science Podcast (but the lady's voice is bugging me a lot); and Mysterious Universe (are those guys Australian? I like their voices, and the stories they report are just silly).
I am looking forward to a bunch of iTunes University stuff I downloaded too. I think you'd like some of it. Here's what I got: Restorative Justice in Action; The New Psychology of Depression; Philosophy - Justice and Morality; and Rules, Rights, and Justice. It's going to be a fun spring!
FAQs
At least once a day, Lynndi Lauper and Doctor nln ask each other this question. But it's really code for 'share your workout plan'. And if there is no workout plan, the convo gets even more supercharged as it turns to special topics like injuries, therapies, out of town guests, extensive travel requirements of the gig, or exhaustion. And the other most FAQ is "What are you eating for dinner?" Doctor nln and Lynndi have so much combined knowledge that blogging it was inevitable.
Witness as we beat ourselves up with hideous workout plans and then gorge on lemon heads and sugar free ice cream.
